We are thrilled to introduce Vitl’s newest team member, Elizabeth Brunt. Lizzie joined us at the beginning of March taking on the role of Product Representative. She is now responsible for the sale and distribution of the Vitl Life Science Solutions range of products throughout Europe, including the management of our distributor network and OEM partners, alongside building and generating new business.
With an MSc in Cancer, Cellular and Molecular Biology and a BSc in Biological Sciences from the Queen Mary University of London, Lizzie will use her expertise to further understand and gain insight into scientific applications and aid product development.
Here’s everything you need to know about our newest addition to the team:
Tell us a bit about yourself and background?
I have lived in Kent since I was 5 before moving to attend university. Since then I’ve completed a BSc in Biological Sciences, lived and worked in Boston, Massachusetts, completed an MSc in Cancer Biology, lived in London and worked in Cambridge.
What attracted you to work within the Life Science industry?
Having completed university, I wanted to continue to work within the scientific community and utilise the knowledge that I had worked so hard for. This job at Vitl is a perfect opportunity for me to work within the highly competitive world of Biotech sales and to move back to my home county.
What has your first week working at Vitl been like?
Everyone I’ve met so far has been welcoming and approachable, especially my manager and co-workers. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know more about the range of products. They’ve really impressed me with their clear and simple menu display and intuitive touch screens, it makes them really straightforward to use.
What are you most looking forward to as the Product Representative at Vitl?
I am really looking forward to meeting new people in the Biotech industry and look forward to representing Vitl Life Science Solutions and their fantastic range of products.
What’s your favourite Vitl product and why?
I particularly like the new Lu-mini. It’s a great product, very easy to use, and its compact enough to fit into a small lab very easily. Also, you can connect the Lu-mini to any computer and download the data directly from the device, which I think is a very helpful feature.
What technology/innovation could you not live without?
I couldn’t live without my GPS! I had maps in my car before and I was constantly getting lost.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy going on country walks which preferably end up in the pub, but I also love to swim or sail, or anything to do with the water.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I make the best Chocolate covered Oreo Cheesecake Truffles!
